Thermostat shows on but no heat on almost new system.

Nest Learning thermostat

Goodman HVAC system (non communicating) 

I can connect to the air handler and initiate a run of electric heat (from goodman’s bluetooth maintenance app) but the thermostat cannot initiate a system run. It’s been showing as “on” for nearly 12 hours, but I woke up with the house 50° fahrenheit. 

I used the maintenance app to heat the house, and check error codes. No error codes showing for air handler or compressor, but the thermost is still showing that it’s heating the house even though it’s not running the system. 

It’s been running perfectly since March 2021. No issues with heating or cooling, and extremely efficient. I’ve evn tried rebooting the thermostat, but nothing changes.

Nest Thermostat may have triggered a protective setting that required disconnecting the heat pump from power for 15 minutes.

While I power cycled the heat pump, I also restarted the Nest Thermostat. The entire system began working normally again after that. 

*This is only a temporary fix, as I still do not know what caused  the problem.
