Thermostat turns A/C back on after I have turned it off at night

I will turn the mode to off and go to bed.  Wake up freezing because the thermostat has turned the cooler back on

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. I want to check and see if you are still in need of any help. If so, please answer the following:

 

  1. What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  2. Is there a set of schedules that are being followed by the thermostat?
  3. Do you see any messages or codes on the thermostat display?

 

Also, I recommend you check on your thermostat's energy history, check if the thermostat wires are completely inserted into the terminals, and if your HVAC system needs maintenance.
