Thermostat will not vonnect

My Thermostat E, shows a image of download

i cannot get oat this image and the thermostat will not work

 

I have reset the the thermostat and wifi router to no avail.

anyone have any idea if the issue.

  1. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and stable, allowing other devices to connect without issues. If there are issues, the thermostat may not download updates or connect to Nest servers, indicating the need for regular check-ups.
  2. The thermostat's distance from the Wi-Fi router may hinder its ability to maintain a stable connection. Consider temporarily moving it closer to the router to see if it resolves the issue.
  3. To ensure compatibility with the Nest Thermostat E, ensure your Wi-Fi network is set up using compatible settings, preferably a 2.4 GHz network, and check the security settings, such as WPA2-PSK, on your router.
  4. Ensure the Nest app is up-to-date on your device to avoid potential thermostat compatibility issues.

Hi Zoe

Tried all of that already and to no avail. Thermostat is abut 3 inches from router!

i think it may be a new thermostat as there is zero response from it to anything I do.

Thanks for the photo. By any chance, do you get any error codes when trying to pair with the app?

I have exactly this issue. I installed my Thermostat E in November. It has been brilliantly  since. But last evening it displayed this symbol indicating that it was downloading, it then stopped all operational activity and despite being restarted multiple times does not respond. The wifi router has been restarted. The app simply  states both thermostat  and heatlink  as offline and will not allow any further diagnosis. No heating for 15 hours. I have tried to go through the warranty web pages but end up in a loop with no opportunity to report this stuck device. Can anyone help please.
