I have 3 X 3rd Gen Thermostats controlling 3 different parts of the house. Thermostat ‘A’ I think also controls the hot water.
Recently I relocated ‘A’ from a wall to a stand in another room for more accurate temp sensing where it worked fine. My kids unplugged it for a few days and now after powering it back up, it will not connect to its Heatlink controller, causing havoc with heating and hot water. I’ve tried resetting the Heatlink, tried re-pairing and tried moving the thermostat all over the house but I get consistent H71 / ‘Unable to Connect’ errors. The system is barely a year old. Anything else I can do? (I have manually enabled heat for now).
Failing that, can I switch hot water duties over to another thermostat?

Hi @Ratch . I am sorry to hear you are facing this behavior from your thermostat and would be happy to try and assist.
If possible bring the thermostat next to the Heat Link and have the stand plugged in to power. Turn off the Wi-Fi router and anything else that connects over Wi-Fi to avoid any possible interference.
Press and hold the button on the Heat Link for 25 seconds until you have the blue LED on it. Once you have that press and hold the thermostat display for 10 seconds. It will restart and try to connect back to the Heat Link.
If it does not go through the rest of the option after the H71 message including the Replace Heat Link option, you will need the pairing key for the Heat Link for that.

Hello there. Just checking in. How's it going with your Heat Link?
