Thermostat won’t connect

Hi I’ve just moved in and I have a nest thermostat I have just downloaded the app and want to add the product it says it’s linked to another account even if I reset it so I’ve not added a key code yet to my app

Hopefully you can get a hold of the sellers and have them take the following action.

To give a device to another person, follow the instructions below. If you have a Nest Aware subscription, make sure you cancel your subscription 

  1. Open the Google Home app
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings > Remove Device > Remove.​
  4. Perform a factory reset. A factory reset will reset your thermostat, doorbell, or camera to its default factory settings.

Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
