Thermostat -

I replaced my original Nest thermostat in April of 2024 - (The original one worked for 9 years with no issue)

It worked great until about a month ago, it disconnected from the Wifi and I could not reconnect.

I restarted it, and I restarted the modem and router.   Didn't work.

I reset to factory settings and tried reinstalling the thermostat and still would not connect - it won't even recognize a Wifi signal either from mine or even the hotspot on my iPhone.  It will not pick up a signal.

Now, in the last week or so, it will not stay charged, I have to pull it off the wall every day and charge the battery with a cord - and that will only last a day or so.   This is from a Google Nest Thermostat that is 7 months old.

I have tried in vane to contact someone about it and that is impossible - I have tried talking to someone at LOWES where I purchased it, and well that is like talking to a wall.    HELP?

hi Jeremy, I did it and I got a call from someone there.  The new thermostat has shipped and was supposed to be delivered yesterday.  (Side note) UPS said no one was available for delivery - I also have a google nest cam and there was NO attempted delivery by UPS - not the first time they have said this same thing - hopefully will be delivered today.

Well here is the latest - I got the replacement thermostat and went through the set up process and it would not connect to the set-up app - and then just kept restarting .  Went through the prompt to get a phone call, which I got within one minute and they could not figure it out, and told me to send the replacement back - but gave me no instructions as how to do that.  (There is a hold on my CC for the replacement that will be removed once I sent back the original defective one) but how will they know what to do with this replacement one that I have to send back?  Will they automatically send me a "new" replacement?  What about the hold on my CC, will it eventually turn into a charge because it took too long to get the defective one back to them?
