My gen 3 thermostat worked fine for 2 years and know will not find any network. I get a W5 error and have tried restarting the router, the thermostat, put a hotpot that works five feet from the thermostat and still will not find a network.

Call Google Nest Support, 0808 169 2307 if in the UK
it’s goosed and will need replaced.
I’ve had this several times and am on my 3rd display unit.

one tip, don’t send the base plate back. The one with the blue bubble spirit level.
impossible to replace and I’ve been told to buy a thermostat on 2nd-hand market to get one. And that was by Google Support.

@MikeB3, oh no! I'm sorry to hear that you still got a W5 error in your thermostat though you've tried the troubleshooting steps already. Are you located in North America or Europe? Also, could you fill out this form and let me know once you're done?
