Evening from the UK.
Our house now has multiple Nest Products which are working very well together with a Viessmann boiler across two zones. We had three Nest Protects installed and couple of months ago decided to install a new boiler with two Nest Learning Thermostats which got installed by a Nest pro installer and ALL features are working as expected.
We have been using this feature guide as a reference for information, such as Home/Away assist, Time-to-temp and True Radiant which are all very helpful. We have setup our manual schedule as its quicker than having it learn our schedules, so Learning aspects are off.

I wish to give feedback or at least understand reasons. Had a quick search but could not find obvious answers to the following.
1. Why does True Radiant Max. Duration only support night time, I wish to use this feature or similar during the daytime as well? As I wish to be more efficient with our gas usage & ignore if it reaches the temp on time in some cases.
2. Why doesn't UK version support additional Nest Temperature Sensor?
3. Boost feature is probably an "Old" way to turn on the heating outside schedules, so our work around we adjust the dial up to above current level by 0.5c if requiring a boost. Assume this is the only way!?
Many Thanks for any replies.

Hi there and many thanks for your interest in our products. I really appreciate seeing someone so passionate about the thermostat's features. Also, congrats for exploring the thermostat's areas and discovering so many things about it. Let's have a look at your questions.
1. The True Radiant and also the Pre-heating feature improves and adapts based on the learn activation patterns. The unit adjusts the amount of heat required and estimates the duration of usage based on the environment factors from your location. So basically the feature works in one way or another, based on how it is set up or if you're home or not.
2. At the moment the Temperature Sensors aren't available in Europe with no future notice as they aren't compatible with the European system. The European thermostat is designed slightly differently compared to the US one.
3. Yes, you're right regarding the way you need to increase the temperature. Indeed, by turning the thermostat's dial will be equivalent to a tiny temperature boost, but this needs to be operated manually. There's no other way at the moment that will allow you to do it.
Hopefully these answers helped you or at least clarified some of your questions. Don't hesitate to let me know if there's something else I can assist you with.

Thanks for the quick and detailed response, that answers most of the questions. Although would be interesting to understand why max duration only works during the night time this feature could be useful during daytime as well when required.
Many thanks

It is mostly used during the night as that is when you will experience lower temperatures. Also you will not be awake during the night to adjust the heating should it be necessary. That is why it is used mostly in this period. The thermostat will used the heating and cooling behavior it learns dough during the day to perhaps turn the system a little earlier off, if you have a lot of radiant heat from your radiators that keep heating once the system is off. Thank you for your suggestion though. It could certainly help in certain situations if it behaved similarly during the day period.
