My thermostat won't connect to my network. I know my password and have reset the thermostat many times. Nothing works. Why is there not any help or resolve for this?

Hi @juanacache!

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I am sorry that your Nest thermostat can’t connect to the network, but no need to worry; help is here. We appreciate all of your previous troubleshooting efforts. Before I proceed, I need to know the following:

  • What Nest thermostat model do you have? For your reference, you can check out this article on how to tell which Nest thermostat you have.
  • Does the thermostat display show any error codes or messages?
  • When did the issue first occur?
  • When was the thermostat installed?

I'll be waiting for your response; any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Best regards,

Jeremy.

Nest Learning 3rd generation

this happened about a week ago.

I can't connect to the network. I've reset/uninstalled/restarted...all the troubleshooting steps you have listed and nothing works. I get the m15 code.

the thermastat will not connect to my network. Yes, my password is correct. Everything else I own is connected. the only screen I get is the 'reset screen' or 'learn more'. When it asked me to put a code in I did and that didn't work.

I've had the thermostat for about a year.

Thank you.

Hi @juanacache!

Thanks for your reply. M15 errors usually occur when you interact with the Nest thermostat after you've started a new pairing session but didn't finish it. Could you please perform the following steps:

  • Once you pair the thermostat, choose a mode like Eco, Heat, or Cool.
  • Then go back to the Nest app, and the app will show a circle with an exclamation mark on the Nest thermostat.
  • Tap the exclamation mark and continue the thermostat configuration in the app. There’s no need to choose “Reset Device” on the thermostat.

Tell me how it goes.

Best regards,
Jeremy.

I can't get it to pair at all. The circle of dots just keeps rotating.

When I try to add it in the app, it isn't recognizing the thermostat.
