Trane conversion to Nest…confusing wiring.

Bought an old cabin and trying to upgrade a few things. One being the thermostat. Case in point. Trane system has following wiring set up;

G.B.R.Y. left side.

F.W.X2.0. on right.

so question is which wires go where on nest and which are tied off or just ignored? Can’t seem to define any answers so far so thought I’d try here! Thanks!

Hi Carlh57,

Thanks for checking it with us. I'd like to take a closer look at it. A few questions: in what country are you located? What is the make and model of your system? Please share with us the photo of the wires connected to your system's control board. Ensure that the labels of the wires are visible. It will help us to further check your system's wiring configuration to the Nest Thermostats.

Best,

Jenelyn
