Transferring ownership of Nest

I just bought a home with an existing Nest thermostat. I can't seem to connect to it using Google Home. Any advice appreciated. The previous owner says she did a factory reset.

It looks like you selected "Nest Thermostat" for the product. Just in case verify which type of Nest Thermostat you have.  Then use the app required for that thermostat:

Nest Learning Thermostat - Nest application

Nest Thermostat E - Nest application

Nest Thermostat - Google Home
