Tripping breaker

We have a strange issue that started this winter. Whenever we are away for more than 4 days we set Nest to 10C. The day we plan to return we then remotely resume the programming to heat the house back before we return home. Three times now this winter we've returned home to find a totally unrelated electrical circuit breaker has been tripped but which also unfortunately includes our network equipment. There is no load on this particular circuit that trips when we're not home and it's not connected in any way to the Nest/furnace other than via the WiFi connection on our home network. We're totally stumped as to whats causing this other breaker to trip other than it seems to be connected to the Nest calling for heat to bring the house back up to temp.
We checked the Nest shortly after setting it for our return and everything was working fine but checking status again shortly afterwards via the app it appears to have been offline for about 3 hours. The circuit never trips however when we're home and the Nest is controlling the furnace as it should. Unfortunately we lose remote access to Nest or any of our other devices whenever this happens until we return home and reset the tripped breaker.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated before we have to call in an electrician. Thanks!

Hi kbeaud79,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your issue details to us.

Your Nest Thermostat is powered by a very small amount of energy coming from your HVAC unit. The WiFi connection from the router to Nest Thermostat seems to be out of site to be involved in this scenario. What I'm thinking is that a different device or line is making this breaker shut down.

It is recommended to have it checked by a technician, for your devices safety.

Best regards,

Ryan
