I am at a loss. Can anyone help me? I wish I could just speak to someone. I’ve been going round in circles. Even my plumber couldn’t solve the problem. So my nest keeps saying “your thermostat cannot control this equipment properly”
I have tried going through the online trouble shooting guide to no avail. How can I speak to someone who knows how to fix this. Thank you in advance

Start with explaining what type of equipment you do have.
Remember, for heating a thermostat is really just a simple switch. Close, and it'll trigger a sequence in the furnace that will eventually generate heat Open it, and the furnace will enter a controlled shut down phase (normally just shutting the gas valve, running the evacuation fan, and running the circulator fan for a a preset period.
That's really valid even for 'smart thermostats. The 'smarts' is how they determine to close/open that switch.
