I'm trying to figure out how to turn of Eco on the cheaper Nest thermostats (not sure if it matters which thermostat). I have searched but the instructions don't seem to be accurate. Its all for the Nest app, and these cheaper ones use the Google Home app. Everything I find is for the older more expensive models.
Before people ask why and tell me its bad to do this... All the normal occupants of the house will be away for a week and a friend will be staying, and she would like the house to not be 85 degrees.
Earlier threads said there is a switch in settings to turn off auto Eco but I can't find it. What's the trick? Thanks...

Hi JimArcher,
Thanks for posting in the Community! Sorry to hear that the Home/Away assist feature isn't working as you expected. No worries, help is here! Unfortunately, the Home/Away assist feature isn't available for the Nest Thermostat 2020. Let's check if there's a conflicting Routine causing the issue. Home/Away Assist is a feature that automatically adjusts your home's temperature based on whether you're home or away.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Axel.
