UK - Replacement heat link

Poolius
Community Member

Hi,

One of my heat links has suddenly stopped working. There are no lights on it. It was working fine, and our other one is working fine. We've not changed any of our wiring etc.

We're just getting error H71 on the thermostat.

How do I go about getting a replacement heat link only please?

Thanks

My heat sensor also in standby yellow mode- tried all the trouble shooting guide, resets etc. There is a Nest helpline number ( customer services) - 0808 1692307 but closed now- normal working hrs on message, also messenger has a Googlenest chat page for contact. I’m  calling tomorrow and will update if I get any help.

Thanks, I called the number and was swiftly greeted by a first line support person. She's confirmed it is in warranty and passed it on to the second line team to escalate, hopefully they will arrange for a replacement.

Received my replacement heatlink within a couple of days and my heating is operational again.

Good service from Google, just worried if either of my two heatlinks might suddenly break outside of warranty now.

Hi @Dingall and @Lids . Thanks for reaching out to us here, I am sorry to hear you are having difficulties with your devices.

@Dingall , make sure to check all breakers and switches. Try and power cycle the Heat Link by turning the power off to it for a few minutes and turn it back on after. See if it has any reaction when pressing the button on it.

@Lids , did you manage to get in touch with my colleagues? If you need further assistance, make sure to let me know.

Hi @Poolius . I am happy to hear you managed to get in touch with my colleague and get things back on track. If anything comes up again, don't hesitate to reach out to us on any of our channels. Even out of the warranty period we'll do our best to assist you.

Best regards,

AlexD

Hi AlexD, heat link now working again, had a tip from this site.

Hi Alex, i have a Google nest and heat link. I have error H71 on thermostat. I've had this error before and fixed the problem, but the fixes are not working now as the heat link 2nd gen is dead. I tried to reset and turn on manually, nothing working, no lights. It's dead. All electrical supplies are working, no tripped switch. Nothing has changed in my house. Who do I ring to get it fixed? I'm in Ireland.

How did you replace heatlink?

Hi. I contacted nest via Facebook messenger (Google Nest) and they sorted the initial process to pass me on to Senior support at Google for a case number. You need to keep messaging every day on messenger if you don’t hear anything as they will chase it for you. Got my heat link replacement on the Saturday and started the whole process on Tue.

Get back to me if you need more help.
