US thermostat in Europe?

Hello,

can US version of Nest thermostat works in Europe? Now i don't mind about wiring compatibility, but about possible software restrictions, problems with time zones,... etc.

Starting with the wiring, this thermostat are completely different because heating systems in these two regions are entirely different, so a thermostat made for the US or Canada simply won’t work with European systems.
