Unable to Delete a HOLD temperature so the thermostat temp can be set to 70 degrees

I've spent four days trying to remove the 55 degree temp I set for the time we were away.  I now want to end the 55 degree Hold and return the thermostat setting to 70 degrees.  Nothing else.  I've tried using the phone app and tried using the thermostat but when I make the change to 70 degrees it only stays at 70 degrees temporarily (usually until 11 pm) and then switches back to 55 degrees.   I don't care whether I use the phone or the thermostat, I just don't want to have to get up at 11 pm to reset the thermostat to 70 degrees.   I have read the instructions numerous times but can't get them to agree with the phone or thermostat display data.

Hi Dave2Too,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties removing the hold temperature on your thermostat and setting it back to 70 degrees. Let's get this fixed!

Determine if your thermostat has a programmed schedule or if there are any specific settings that could be causing the hold temperature to revert to 55 degrees. Refer to the thermostat's user manual or online resources to understand its programming features and settings. Use the thermostat's interface or mobile app to review and clear any existing schedules or holds. Look for options to disable or delete any programmed temperature settings or holds that may be conflicting with your desired 70-degree temperature.

I understand that dealing with technical issues can be frustrating, but I hope these suggestions help you resolve the problem and regain control over your thermostat's temperature settings.

Best,

Zoe

Thank you for your response.

After many attempts I hit upon the solution you outlined---- changing the scheduled, so I believe after having this unit installed for well over a year I've finally gotten it to the point that I can set it for 70 degrees and just leave it (so it's almost as good as the Honeywell thermostat I had for a couple decades).

Hi there,

I'm glad to hear that you found a solution to adjust the scheduled temperature on your thermostat! Achieving a comfortable and consistent temperature setting is important for maintaining a pleasant environment in your home. By setting the thermostat to your desired temperature and adjusting the schedule accordingly, you can create a comfortable and steady temperature without the need for frequent manual adjustments.

While it can take some trial and error to find the ideal settings for your specific needs and preferences, the ability to set it and leave it can simplify your daily routine and provide a more convenient experience.

If you have questions or concerns in the future, feel free to start a new thread, and we'll be happy to help.

Regards,

Zoe
