Unable to access temperature preferences

In the Home app on iPhone, I cannot access temperature preferences for my second Neat (upstairs). First Neat (downstairs) is fine. I get the error Problem connecting to the cloud, please try again later.

Hello Mdvining,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

A few questions: did you also set up your upstairs thermostat using the same phone and same home structure in the Google Home app? Does the message only appear in the Temperature Preferences settings? Also, could you please give these steps a whirl?

  • Force close the Google Home app.
  • Restart your upstairs thermostat by going to Settings.
  • Wait until it reboots. Remove the thermostat display from its base.
  • Take the batteries out for at least 3 minutes before plugging them back in to refresh.
  • Reopen the Google Home app and check all your thermostat settings.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Mark

Hey there,

I'm checking back in. Were you able to do the steps above? I'd be glad to hear from you — I'd like to make sure everything is working.

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks for the tips. I removed the device from Home and then added it back. Works now but had to re-do all the settings and wiring in the app which was a pain. Next time I will try resetting the thermostat first instead of removing it from Home.
