Unable to add a device to an existing account

I have been able to control the thermostat remotely since I set up Google. I can't stand the product now! I've scanned the QR code already but I am unable to access the 7 digit key to add an item to my profile! So are we saying the only way to get that key is to perform a re- set?

It's hard to tell what's happening in your situation; you don't indicate why you're trying to reinstall your thermostat.
