I've been able to connect my android phone for remote operation of the nest 3rd generation, but not my wife's apple phone at the same time. I was able to disconnect my phone from the nest thermostat and add hers, but now I can't add mine. I enter the entry code and receive the "choose the number that matches your thermostat's display," but no number appears, the symbol just keeps cycling around forever. I've tried several times. Any ideas?

if you’re looking to share the control of the thermostat, all you need to do is have the primary user, the homeowner. If you will, use the feature in the Nest app to add a family member. Then once you do that you could add your wife and she’ll have the ability to remotely control the thermostat as well.

To add to CoolingWizard's great advice, it's worth bearing in mind that even though you manage the thermostat in the Nest app, adding and managing home members must be done in the Google Home app if you're using a Google account.
