Updating to Nest - Wiring help

giemer

I this I am clear about the wiring aside from the R-Rc jumper handling when transitioning to the Nest.

Is it correct that this wire need only be connected to Rc on the Nest?

Also, if there is any issue with the below conversion, I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Wire Color - Old Heat Pump Label --> Nest Connector Translation

Black - E  --> *

White - Aux --> W2/AUX

Red - R+Rc --> Rc (?)

Blue - O/B --> O/B

Yellow - Y --> Y1

Green - G --> G

Brown - C --> C

Hi giemer,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand that you need help with the wiring for the Nest Learning Thermostat. I see that you have seven connected wires in your current thermostat. Let me help you this time.

Please follow the wiring guide below:

White - W1

Red - RC

Blue - O/B

Yellow - Y

Green - G

Brown - C

The black wire is not necessary to connect in the Nest Learning Thermostat.

 Let me know how things go.

Regards,

Gabriela
