Verifying Compatibility - Just Want to Make Sure

According to the compatibility guide, it looks like we should be able to replace our current setup with a Nest thermostat. If there's a human out there that can verify this, that would be optimal. I just want to be 1000% sure before ordering one. Thanks for your help!

Looks like a basic heating only system with a G wire so it must be forced air.

Is there another colored wire in that brown cable not being used?

The Nest non learning needs a C common wire to keep it powered up.

The learning model might be ok without a C wire.

If you do not have a extra wire they have an adapter to create a C wire but it requires you to do some wiring at the furnace. I usually recommend running a new cable with 8 conductors to the furnace instead of using the adapter device because if you want to upgrade the system to A/C later you need more colors in the cable.
