Vin voltage

I am seeing a H72 error on my thermostat, it’s saying it’s not connected to the power. However I have removed it from the base and plugged it in directly to a power supply which I know works. It did run out of battery when left in the base but I plugged it in directly and it charged but now I have this error. When checking the power menu the vin is reading 0.0v which I assume is a problem

Hi @AlastairC,

Thanks for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with your Nest Thermostat because you're seeing an H72 error code. I appreciate that you've already done some troubleshooting steps. I'm glad to help.

To better understand the situation, I'll need you to answer a few questions.

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • When was the Nest Thermostat installed?
  • When did the issue start?
  • What color is the LED on the Heat Link? Is the LED light blinking red or green, or is it off?
  • Has there been a power outage or any recent work done on your Nest Thermostat or heating system?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Regards,

Gabriela
