Hi
I recently installed a Nest 3rd gen learning thermostat but had it wired, wall mounted in my hallway. However, the hallway seems to be the coldest part of the house and in hindsight, I think I should have had the thermostat connected wirelessly in the living room on a usb-powered stand. Question is, can I just now buy a stand for my nest, and take my nest from the wall mount, and put it on the stand in the living room?
Thank you in advance.

Thanks for reaching out to us here @wpe1985 . I would be happy to try and assist.
You can definitely buy a stand and mount the display on it. There are just 2 things I would keep in mind.
1. That you need to take the display and the base off the wall, as the display needs to attach to the base. You'll need to attach the base to the stand and after place the display on it.
2. Which is more important. Keep in mind that the wireless range is limited and will be affected by distance, walls, materials used in construction, other electronics and other sources of interference. Depending on your installation you may need to play around with the position of the thermostat to make sure it keeps a stable connection.
