If it's a new system then there should be an operations manual that came with it that will point you into the right direction for the C wire. If for some reason you cannot locate that manual then the smartest thing to do is get an HVAC pro to install this for you. You can also Google your model number for a diagram of where the c wire connection would be.

Thank you, I bought a Nest Power Connector, and I connected the two wires (1 Red and 1 White) going to the thermometer from the boiler, but now I need the common C wire coming from the boiler and I don't seem to be able to find it. There is no connection box or anything like that. This is a brand new 1-year-old 1 stage natural gas boiler. (WEIL-Mc LAIN) Any suggestions ? Thanks again.

I too am seeing the e297 message, but I have already installed the Google Power Connector. Why would I receive this message after installing the connector? I also cannot connect to my WiFi

Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to follow up and see I could be of any help.
If you're installing the Nest Power Connector and you get an E297 help code, your thermostat needs an update. On the thermostat screen, select Settings, Software, then Update.
If you’ve already installed the Nest Power Connector, you might need to update the wiring info in the app. Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Thanks, Jake! It turned out that "install the power connector at the zone valve" meant to connect it on the thermostat side of the zone valve, and not after it at the boiler. I saw that but I glossed over it!

Just yesterday, after I sent this message, my thermostat went offline and reported that same power issue. Google then emailed me with an offer for a free power connector. Nice, but, odd, right?

Talk about error codes - I'm dealing with the N72 error.
Purchased Nest Learning to control both Heat (boiler) and AC (older system) in New England. Installed 1 Apr 21. Used heat and AC through mid June before transitioning to summer AC. While getting ready for winter on 6 Oct 21, turned on heat and controller in TACO box (interface between thermostats and boiler) just kept clicking. Called HVAC Co for PM and troubleshooting. No issue with boiler. Nest giving N72 error - no power to heat Rh wire (not true). Tech bypassed thermostat and started boiler. Contacted Nest - given unbelievable run around, including sending part that they knew wouldn't fix it. Contacted again today (10-29) and given same run around. Won't acknowledge problem or propose solution. Blames me. This is a common problem and not unique. Save the hassle and buy another brand. You can thank me later.

I have the same brand of natural gas boiler. Pg 27 of my manual says to use an isolation relay coil for three thermostats. My current C wire is from the AC. Supposedly, the relay coil on the boiler would provide voltage to the Nest to correct it giving the n72 error. TBD. Need to talk with heating maintenance contractor. Bought analog Honeywell today so that I can have heat (and AC, although Nest would operate the AC).
