I bought a new Nest thermastat and it quickly stopped working. When you engage the Nest unit to turn on the AC/Heat, the unit starts up but they quickly stops. I had to have an HVAC technician (Nest certified) come out to trouble shoot. He said it was not compatible with my main unit. After wiring it to properly work, it was working then shut off. He came back out and he said it is a power issue. HVAC unit works fine, but with the nest device it shuts off after initially engaging. I have another Nest unit that was installed for my upstairs unit (separate unit) and that works fine. I swapped the devices and the bottom unit still has the same issue. Have you see this before and any advice?
Sorry to hear about the trouble. I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. Do you mind me asking if you have a C wire/Nest Power Connector? Are you seeing any error codes on the device? Please let me know, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.
@KentK how's it going with your Nest Thermostat? We would really appreciate it if you can share with us what Jake is asking, so that we can come up with an option. Let us know if you have more questions in mind. If possible, can you share with us the photo of the wiring setup of your old and new thermostats?
Looking forward to your response.
I appreciate the help, Jake.
Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.
