Whole-house fan

Hello.  Is it possible to run the fan for the whole house, without selecting either a heat or cool setting?  When we had a dumb thermostat, I could just run the fan, which circulated the air, and made it bearable in summer without running the AC.  But I only see the option for running the fan from the Nest when I first select heat or cool.  Can I just run the fan on its own?  Thanks!

Hey there Jcpanderson,

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Yes, you can just turn on the fan by itself, check out this article for more information. You have the option to turn on the fan manually for a set amount of time, or you can set a schedule if you have specific times you want the fan to activate.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.

Best regards,
Jeran

The fact that a Nest thermostat cannot run the fan when the thermostat is off (even with a G connector) means we won't be purchasing a Nest thermostat.  We run the fan all the time to circulate and filter air.
