Hello,
When I removed my old thermostat to install the new Nest Learning Thermostat I found one short red wire connecting two ports. Do I need to add that somewhere?
Right now I just have cool, heat, fan, and power connected. I am wondering if my humidifier is what that previous red wire was for.

Hey Jbmenachem,
Sorry for the delayed response but thanks for reaching out and for the photo.
Based on the wires of your original thermostat, the red short wire connecting the RH and RC terminal is a jumper wire. Unlike other thermostats, this jumper wire is not needed by our Nest thermostats. Just follow the wiring diagram the Nest app gives you during setup and do not connect the jumper wire.
