Wiring setup for Heat Pump and 2 Stage Gas Furnace

I have had a recent installation of new equipment:

1. Trane Resolute Heat Pump - 4TXD2036A10NUA

2. Gas Furnace - S9x2C100U5PSB

3. Honeywell Steam Humidifier - HM750A1000 - with a humidistat

Generally, everything works but I am finding a couple of issues.

1. For heating the air from the heat pump isn't that warm and it is only 29 degrees fahrenheit outside - duct air coming out at 80 degrees.

2. It doesn't appear to me that my 2 stage furnace was wired for both stages.

3. My humidifier is not currently wired to my Nest and could use some advice as it seems like of a bit of a different setup.

Does it appear I have a problems with my wiring?

Hi alanfromtoronto,

Thanks for posting. Based on the information you provided, it's possible that there may be issues with the wiring or configuration of your HVAC system. Heat pump performance can be affected by factors such as refrigerant issues or malfunctioning components. It is recommended to consult a qualified HVAC technician to inspect and diagnose the heat pump's performance and if your two-stage furnace is not wired properly to review the wiring configuration and make necessary adjustments. Proper wiring is essential for the furnace to operate efficiently and provide the desired heating output. Integrating a humidifier with the Nest Thermostat may require additional wiring and configuration, depending on the compatibility between the humidifier and Nest thermostat model. Google Nest Learning Thermostats are compatible with most whole-home humidifiers and dehumidifiers that work independently from your air conditioner. However, professional installation is strongly recommended.

Let us know if that helps.

Best,

Zoe
