My next says it is not receiving power and shows an Error code e102 and states the problem is with wire W1.
I checked the voltage across Rc and W1 and my voltage meter shows 27VAC.
I also plugged in another nest thermostat od same model and it shows e102. So is it possible to have a broken baseplate?
If so where can a fella get one? Thank you

Indeed, you have a defective base plate. You will have to check the warranty information with this. I guess Google can replace a base plate for you if it is within the warranty timeline.
