Wrong temperature

I’ve already reset the entire thermostat,  disconnected it from wifi (being told it can make the thermostat warm), and it’s not around anything that can make it warm. No sun light, nothing around it that can warm it up.

I’ve tried all options I’ve located on here.
it’s showing it’s 82+ in my house. Other thermometer’s are showing 62-63. I can’t get the heat to turn on unless I set it in the high 80’s. Once it reaches that temp, it turns off, like normal.

I paid $250 for this device 3-4 months ago. This is crazy

Same issue here. Temperature set at 67 or 68 and often will not heat. I have to push up to 70 before the furnace reacts and responds. Set a schedule to go down to 64 at 2 AM, then up to 67 at 8 AM and it feels like 78 in the upstairs. Not happy!

Hi folks,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that your thermostats are reading your room temperature incorrectly. Let me take a look at this for you.

@Dklowe9, thanks for trying some steps. Don't give up on us yet—we'd like to further check on this. Could you fill out this form and let me know once you're done?

@JohnGray26, what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If yes, would you mind listing them? Also, take a photo of the thermometer next to the Nest Thermostat. Both the thermometer and thermostat screens should be visible in the photo and show the difference in each other’s readouts.

I'll look forward to your responses.

Best,

Zoe

Same issue with 2x thermostats, we have a new born and can not keep the house at a correct temperature…. Wish I had stayed with Hive, much better

I'm having similar issues.   the upstairs Nest (gen 3) was working just fine up until last week.  At that point it didn't register the temp correctly.  i did everything suggested, no improvement.   Now, it won't turn the A/C on upstairs, but the nest device downstairs has worked just fine with no issues.
