Hi there simonking,

Thanks for posting here and we're sorry for the delay.

The message you were getting could possibly be an announcement about the compatibility of your HVAC system to Nest Thermostat.

Here's a few questions for us to further isolate the issue:

  • How long have you been using your Nest Thermostat?

  • Are you using a 24V HVAC system?

  • Could you share a photo of your current wiring system when you reply?

I hope to hear from you soon.

Best regards,

Ryan

I am having the same problem. We have been using the nest learning thermostat for 1.5 years and we haven’t changed anything. But we went to turn on the AC today and it isn’t working. We haven’t changed the wiring since the day we put it on.

Did you ever find answer? Same problem.

So we had an hvac guy come look at it and our contactor had shorted out and we needed a new one. He replaced it and it’s working great. I would have someone look at it!

Hey folks,

Thanks for being here in the Google Nest Community.

It's great to hear that you were able to get your system checked by your HVAC guy, MykalaN. Let's observe how and let us know how it goes.

Could you tell us more details of what's happening with your system, teacherboy23? We'll be glad to hear from you very soon.

Best regards,

Ryan
