add thermostat to app

Trying to add installed Nest E Thermostats to a house we just moved into, but when I get to the code there is a dash and the keyboard only does letters and numbers, how do I enter the code without a dash available?

Never mind. We did a factory reset and then the code no longer had a dash. Hope this helps someone else.
