adding another nest thermostat to a different location

get not get second nest to access WIFI at second location. Error code E297

Tried to add second thermostat at different location in NEST app.  All is well until after thermostat's code is add or scanned.

Since all the devices in a Google Nest "home" have to be on the same Wi-Fi network, I suspect that, when trying to add a second thermostat for a Google Nest "home" at a different location with a different Wi-Fi network, your phone may need to be logged onto that Wi-Fi network when you add the second thermostat.

Also, E297 says "C wire or Y1 wire required" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9240096?hl=en#E297&zippy=%2Ce-help-codes)
