The Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E get installed in the Google Nest app but then can be seen in the Google Home app, while the Nest Thermostat gets installed and can be seen only in the Google Home app.
I don't know whether thermostats can be accessed on the home.nest.com website, since we don't have any Nest thermostats
Many customers in this forum have reported that thermostats installed in the Google Nest app were not appearing in the Google Home app. Many of those customers had success with this workaround:
In the Google Nest app, create a new, temporary Google Nest "home/structure".
Go to the Google Home app and delete that new, empty Google Nest "home/structure". This action seems to force the 2 apps to sync and the thermostat(s) then appear in the Google Home app.

Hi whitemhw,
Thanks for posting. Only Nest Thermostat 2020 can be accessed and controlled through the Google Home mobile app. While Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E can also be accessed and controlled through the Home app, it requires you to set both thermostats on the Nest app first so they will appear on your Home app as well after you migrate your Nest account to Google. Currently, the Home app only supports the mobile version. So if you are unable to see the Nest Thermostats on the Google Home web-based interface on your desktop computer, it is likely that the desktop version of the Google Home website does not currently support direct access to or control of Nest Thermostats or perhaps you are not signed in to the right account, so you might as well double check.
Let us know if that helps.
Best,
Zoe
