current thermostat has more wires than generation 2 nest accepts

My current thermostat has more wires than my new Nest generation 2 thermostat.

I have a Hydron-Module ground loop geothermal HVAC system for heat and cooling with 2 stage compressor, and electric emergency backup for heating.

I would appreciate any help with my installation.

Hi John1946,

Thanks for the photos.

Your wire label indicates an incompatible system.

These systems usually only work with thermostats made by the same manufacturer. But some incompatible systems may also have the option to use standard heating system wires. Contact a local pro and have them check if your system can be rewired to be Nest compatible.
