fake or genuine Nest learning Thermostat?

I recently bought a Nest Learning thermostat from Amazon.

The one I got is doesn't have nest written on the top of the screen, and I am unable to add it to google home.

Is this a fake product?

is there a way to check if this is a genuine product?

Note the Nest Learning Thermostat must be setup using the Nest app, not the Google Home app, that's why you can't add it to Google Home. Once setup in the Nest app however, it will show up in the Home app if you're using the same account in both apps.

Thanks for sharing the photos, and I'm sorry for any confusion this might have caused you. But it appears that you have the Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd generation, Copper. You can also verify its legitimacy here. To be sure, please tell me its current software version in its settings.

Many thanks for your support. 

I was actually looking for serial number verification or something to confirm that this one is genuine.

I have another problem that while it is connected to C, it keep disconnecting for wifi.

I tried everything, but it works fine for a week then in fails for the next!

Hello Mina_N,

I'm glad to help! To further check it, could you go to your thermostat's Technical Info settings and gather its power readings? This might be one of the reason why it keeps disconnecting from the Wi-Fi. Also, have you noticed any power related reports or messages that might trigger your thermostat to disconnect from the Wi-Fi network?
