google nest thermostat, only showing continue to setup in google home app. the unit has been in ope

Unable to get to the menu on the thermostat. Just showing "continue setup in Google home app"

Hey folks,

 

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

 

If you're still getting the same message, let's give these steps a try to further help you:

  • If you're using the Nest app, make sure to download the Google Home app and continue the setup.
  • The new Nest Thermostat can only be set up using the Google Home app.
  • Restart your mobile device and re-connect to the Wi-Fi network.
