had my nest thermostat installed and i was told the backplate is not oporating properly

I just had my nest thermostat installed by a professional.  After having it run for a week i had to call him back out because I was not getting enough heat.  He told me that the voltage it was sending out from the nest to my system was less then the 24 volts required so the unit is cycling on and off and not getting enough signal to remain constant.  he said this is an issue he has seen before and I need a backplate replacement.  He showed me that we were getting 24volts to the nest and that it just was not sending out the same. Can i please get a new backplate for my nest?  thank you.

Hi scliff15,

Uh-oh! I'm sorry to hear that your thermostat's backplate is not operating properly. Are you located in North America or Europe? And could you send us the service invoice from the technician who found an issue with the thermostat so we can take a closer look?

Keep us posted.

Best,

Zoe
