I can't tell from your post how you are trying to control the Nest, so it's hard to give specific advice.

First, be sure you know which model you have: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9246551?hl=en

Second, have you read the basic instructions for how to operate your Nest?    https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9248184?hl=en

(I apologize if you already know all of that and more.)

After following those instructions, you should have a schedule set up to your liking, with none of scheduled temperatures set to be above 18.  If the Nest still keeps turning on when you don't want it to, be sure that all of the "smart" features are turned off, so that the Nest ought to simply follow your schedule.

Hi there,

I appreciate your help here, @CBFox.

@adakuyer, Thanks for reaching out, and I wanted to ensure everything was covered here. Have you tried creating a scheduled temperature as suggested by CBFox? I understand that you want to save more, but it'll definitely help you set your desired temperatures for a specific time, and your thermostat will maintain them.

Please let me know if that helps.

Regards,

Mark
