nest gen 3 thermostat early on feature is not reaching the set temperature by the set time

I have a Gen3 learning thermostat.  My house has a typical forced air furnace and takes about 1.5hrs to go from 64F to 69F.  I have Home/Away assist off and auto schedule off. It's supposed to be at 69 by 6am and again by 6pm.  Since I got this 4 months ago it turns on at about 5:20a and finishes at about 6:40am, long after it was supposed to be at 69. Yes, I have the max duration set to 5hrs.  Same is true for evening, it starts about an hour late.  I don't see a clock on there but I did put in my address with zip code.  Even if somehow the clock were an hour off it's still not stopping at the correct time.  I have tried a restart with same results, monitored it for a week after the restart.  It's wired correctly.  I had a Honeywell programmable thermostat before this one and it was exactly on time, within minutes every time.  I have screenshots of the times turning on and turning off, and the time is correct, but reaches temp 40 minutes late.  I can't upload pics here for some reason.  I've been through as much forums as I could find but still no answer to why mine won't learn.

Any other ideas?

Hiya nucknfuts,

Not having your home reach the target temperature when you need it might be discouraging, but don't worry. Let's figure out what we can do about it.

I recommend checking for any thermostat connection issues.
First, verify the thermostat isn't offline in the Nest app. Then, check if the battery level is above 3.6v by going to Settings > Technical info > Power.

If the connection is okay, I would suggest you get a fresh start on the schedules of the thermostat by resetting the schedules on the thermostat by going into "Settings" > "Reset" > "Schedule."

The Nest app's 'Early on' feature won't activate if it doesn't detect anyone at home. Make sure the app is in "Home" mode when your house should be heating, not "Away."
As a final tip, consider performing some HVAC system maintenance to rule out short cycling behavior. You can check for clogged furnace vents and dirty air

filters.

Keep me posted, and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Regards,
Angel
