I’m having that same issue. I tried going through support and there’s nothing that they can do. They said if it was still under warranty then they would replace it. But it’s not so I am out of luck

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostats are not connecting to the Wi-Fi network, and I appreciate you being ahead of us and seeking answers across our platforms. Help's here!

To confirm, do you see any message codes? Does it show your Wi-Fi networks but could not connect, or doesn't detect any networks at all? Also, can you share your support ID with us @Mwilk33?

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark

I'm in the exact same situation since yesterday.

My Nest Learning Thermostat kept disconnecting but I was still able to reconnect it.

However since yesterday, I can't connect my thermostat to my Wifi anymore for some reason, and on each try I get different error messages (TD003, TD005, TD006...).

Is the internal wifi receiver suddenly broken? Or were there any software update which broke something? That would be the only logical explanations.

These thermostats cost a fortune so I would expect more than 2 or 3 years from them.

Please help!

Hi xtofotx,

Help's here! I appreciate you posting here in this thread. Let's sort this out.

To isolate:

  • Have you tried the steps here in the article about troubleshooting a Nest Thermostat to Nest app or Wi-F- network (other TD codes)?
  • Could you provide a rundown of all the steps you've tried?
  • Does it show any message codes or reports?
  • Check your thermostat's battery level in the Technical Info settings. If it drops to 3.7V, pull the display and charge it for an hour before plugging it back into its base.
  • Once charged, check for any message codes in the Equipment, Network, or Technical Info settings.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,
Mark
