nest randomly changes mode to heat from cool

Hello, my nest thermostat will randomly change itself to heat mode when it should be in cooling.  I have removed all cooling shedules and turned off eco and home away. everything was fine for the past 2 years and nothing has changed wiring or HVAC wise. Its a nest e on a gas forced air furnace battery voltage is always 3.9ish. i have reset it, revoned and reistalled the nest app also. ready to toss it and buy something else

Checking your thermostat Energy History might help you see what your Nest Thermostat was doing previously. You can visit this support article on how to check Energy History in the thermostat or in the Nest app. Also, check for any messages or codes on your thermostat or in the app. Please share with us your thermostat power readout. 

 

You can follow these guides:

 

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Technical Info.
  4. Select Power.
