nest thermostat base issues (need replacement base 3rd generation thermostat)

My Nest Thermostat has stopped working in cooling mode. The thermostat is not sending constant 24 volts to the reversing valve in cooling mode. From what I read online the base is the issue. The only bases I see available are on eBay used. I bought an ecobee and installed it last night and the everything is back up and running. I decided to go with a different brand because this is the second time this same problem has happened to my thermostat and google isn't taking care of the problem. I really love the nest and I would reinstall it if I can get a replacement base and keep the ecobee for back up if and when the nest fails again. I was hoping that nest has figured out the issue that they are having with the base and had a new version that they could send me. Because overall I love the nest if i can just keep it working.
