nest thermostat stays on away

I had to change phones and now settings keep reverting to away even tho I am trying to use presence sensing.

Sorry to hear about what's going on with your Nest thermostat and also for the delayed response. 

Quick question — what type of Nest thermostat do you have? Could you also make sure of the following:

• You’ve enabled your phone in presence sensing settings in the Home app
• You’ve set location permissions for the Home App on your phone to Always on
• Everyone in your household has enabled their phones in presence sensing settings in the Home app on their own phones
