Cannot get nest temperature sensors to connect to thermostat

My sensor has been working since I purchased it. A few nights ago I noticed it was not sensing the basement temperature, but it also does not say the battery is low or that it is offline. I have tried the following things:

- deleted and re-installed app

- taken battery out (but haven't changed it yet)

- have tried to connect it many, many times by standing right next to the thermostat

- i bought a box of 3 of them originally, so i tried installing a different one instead, it is still not working... (this is why I think it isn't a battery or actual sensor issue)

Guessing this is an issue w the thermostat since it won't connect to 2 different sensors.... what else am I missing? I don't see where to even try to fix this on the thermostat itself. Please help, this is very frustrating!

Hey travelbugrach,

Sorry for the delay and I understand how you feel. Still, I appreciate that you've taken the time to try the steps you've listed above.

Just to confirm, it is too hot or too cold in the room where the sensor is placed? If yes, could you check that the sensor in the room is currently active in your Nest app? If it is, please try the other suggestions here: https://bit.ly/3cd0vDF?

Let me know how it goes.

Best,
