no longer have access to email assigned to Nest thermostat app

I no longer have access to the email assigned to my nest thermostat. How can I change it to my current email?

Hello @Proff58 

 

We are so happy to see you here! I apologize for all this inconvenience with the access on your Nest App. Don't worry, I'm here to help you with that.

 

To set up your device with your current email first, we need to reset the account connections under the settings. 

 

  • Please go to Settings > Reset >  Account Connection. 
  • To reconnect with the Nest app go to Settings > Nest App > Select Get Entry Key. Follow the next steps below to use your Nest app to add your thermostat to your account.

If the account is still there you can try Settings > Reset >  Reset All Settings. Then you can sign in to your Nest app and follow the Set Up Process to control your Nest Thermostat on your phone.
