Hi Tomm2,

Thanks for posting here in Community forum. Check out the available thermostats we have by clicking this link. You may also buy one from our third-party sellers. Also, here's an article to learn more about the Nest Power Connector.

I appreciate your help, @Patrick_Caezza

Best,

Zoe

I had that article. I understand that I can run a wire from the AC but I was looking to use the new adapter but based on the response I received from Rannai I do not believe it is advisable. I was surprised that the article did not say it could be a problem.

This is the response I received from Rinnai in regard to hooking up the nest power adapter any thoughts?
Hello Tom,

I cannot find any literature that approves of a power adapter to be connected to the M090SN boiler to operate a Nest thermostat. The thermostat terminals on the boiler terminal bar are what is referred to as a dry contact meaning there should be no voltage at those terminals. Any voltage applied to those terminals could potentially damage the boiler. The folks at Nest should be able to supply you with a few alternative ways to connect their thermostat to dry contact terminals without installing a power adapter connection on the Rinnai boiler.
