I updated my router recently and haven't been able to get my Nest thermostat to connect reliably. 20+ other devices are connecting, so I'm confident that connectivity is good. Old and new router were both TP-Link.
Right now, I can get the nest to connect to my router. However, based on one of the articles, I logged out of the app and logged back in. When I go to reconnect the app by getting a new secure entry key, it fails to connect and give me a key. Also, ping time on the nest is 0. I've had this work sporadically since getting the new router; once I had to do a hard reset of the nest. Now I'm just frustrated with it.

Hi AJD,
Thanks for posting.
A quick question: after factory resetting your Nest Learning Thermostat and setting it up again, are you getting a message that's preventing you to move forward with the setup?
Best,
Mel

I did previously reset it. Initially, after installing the new router, I couldn't connect via Wifi at all. I did a reset and things worked for a couple weeks.

Hi AJD,
Thanks for getting back to us. To confirm, your Nest Learning Thermostat is dropping from your new router, right?
Best,

Mei - it started working again. I can access the thermostat using the iOS app. I'm not sure what happened, but nothing else to do.
Thanks.
