"Not so Clean" power?

I have solar on my home, yet my thermostat keeps telling me my power is "not so clean" during the middle of the day when I'm exporting solar to the grid. How can I tell the thermostat that I have solar on my home?

This article isn't super helpful.

One, it doesn't show any way to let my thermostat know whether I have solar panels or not; thus, since in my area grid power is "dirty" during a period I'm exporting power to the grid, the thermostat will try to shift power into another timeframe when I really need it to prioritize using power during the period I'm exporting power. 

Two, it says "put in your rate code," to help the thermostat prioritize properly, but there are multiple copies of my rate code in the table. For example, the list I have to choose from is the following six choices:

• R1 - Residential
• R - kW: Residential Demand
• R1 - Residential
• R - TOU: Residential Time of Use
• R - VPP: Variable Peak Pricing
• R - TOU: Residential Time of Use

So how do I fix these problems so that my thermostat prioritizes my energy properly?

Nest still doesn't appear to have any way to let my thermostat know that I have solar panels. Thus, since in my area grid power is most "dirty" during the mid-day hours (i.e., the exact time I have maximum availability of 100% green energy from my panels), the thermostat tries to shift power into another timeframe when I want it to do the opposite: prioritize using power during the mid-day peak solar hours.

Looks like our solar systems are almost identical. Enphase control system, microinverters, 24 Toshiba panels, Manny was my contractor. I posted a similar question about 3 years ago and never really got an answer. I checked and found this article.  https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10975756?hl=en

"Energy Shift" may allow some control, but it's packaged as part of the Renew $10 a month service.  extensions. I'll read it again to make sure of what it will do. "Gillette marketing", give them the razor sell them the blades for life.

California just junked net-metering cut by 80%.  I'll be talking to Manny about a battery add-on, Enphase is pretty good on the technology so maybe they'll have Lithium Iron cells when I need to upgrade, jim (at) effects (dot) com.
